In addition to copy-editing and proofreading, I also provide a translation service from Italian to English. Whether you have an article, thesis or full monograph, I'd be happy to provide you with a free, no obligation quote upon request, based on the word count of your work.

If you want to be sure of the quality and style of the translation, you're welcome to send a 1-2 page sample of your work which I'll translate for you at no charge. Please contact anthonywright@protonmail.com with a copy of the file.

What's involved?

The translated work will be returned to you as a Microsoft Word document, but the original language version can be submitted in any form, including Word, PDF or hard copy.

I'll discuss your style requirements with you prior to commencing work and implement these in the translated version (UK/US English, etc.). The translated document will be fully edited and proofread as part of the service.

Please note that I do not translate personal or official documents, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates or CVs.

Why me?

I have professional experience of Italian-English translation, including the translation of Paolo Petrocelli's PhD thesis "Il Sistema dei Teatri d’Opera nel Medio Oriente e nel Mondo Arabo" and its adaptation to book form, and Paolo Condo’s Duellanti, which was published as The Duellists: Pep, Jose and the Birth of Football’s Greatest Rivalry by deCoubertin. Other projects are currently ongoing.

Prior to translating The Duellists, I worked with Italian and Spanish media during my foray into sports journalism at Goal.com. In 2011, I established asroma.co.uk, which was the first website to provide regular news and updates about AS Roma in English and which ran until 2017.

In addition to having translated Italian books, media articles and TV interviews, I also have a competent working ability in Spanish and French - an expansion to Imprimatur's translation services in this direction is planned in the near future.
